Lee Vining Creek... HIKER.cc August Fishing Spot

Peppered with plenty of camping spots, it's fishing from an easy chair, or hiking up and down the trails the follow the creek. The creek is generally well stocked and an excellent family spot for wetting hooks and catching dinner. Rainbows populate most of the creek, but a few browns can be found under logs and undercut banks.

Creek fishng in the Sierra doesn't get any easier or more fun than at Lee Vining Creek... but don't take our word for it. Check out the creek for yourselves.

Directions: Off California Highway 395 (an hour's drive north of Bishop), the creek parallels the road to Tioga Pass, Yosemite's eastern entrance. Although the road to the park may be closed, you still have access to the creek.
